    Description

    WWI original document!
This letter was handed to US Soldiers Armed Expedionary Force - AEF- as they debarked from ships into England.
It was given as a greeting from King George Vth.
Clearly marked on the envelope is:     "A MESSAGE TO YOU FROM HIS MAJESTY KING GEORGE Vth."
The signature "George R. I."  translates to "George "Rex Imperator".
Probably 1 million plus of these letters were distributed!  But, how many were, soon thereafter, discarded by the young men?
Or even if they carried it deligently, what would have been in anything close to this condition?
    How did this one escape???
Thus, making it a "RARITY" WWI militaria collectible.
None found with various searches on ebay internet.
    Time to OWN!!!
