    Description

    Can’t say I know a lot about this instrument other than what I’m reading online. Bubble levels are all intact. All the knobs seem to operate. Internal focusing eyepiece focuses on the cross hatches. External focusing knob works, but is dented. Transit turns smoothly and locks into place by screwing in a lower knob.  Very minor loss of the enamel finish on the base where it got scratched off by the bolts. Sticker inside the case says the transit was last repaired on July 31, 1972. No idea when it was last used.
    Wood carrying case is in good shape. Transit locks into carrying case by screwing in a knob on the base. Not much left of the leather handle. No key.
    Even though everything seems to be in working order, since my knowledge is limited, I am selling as is. Please examine the photos closely and email any questions.
