Milwaukee Tool just released info on some new Shockwave Lineman’s Fiberglass Drill Bits, engineered to deliver clean, straight holes through both composite and fiberglass utility poles and cross-arms. The 7/16” hex shank fits perfectly with the M18 Fuel Hex Utility High Torque Impact Wrench.
WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?
The Milwaukee Shockwave Fiberglass Bits utilize a pointed carbide tip. This tip holds steady and straight when drilling all the way through hollow-core composite and fiberglass poles. Available in both 12” and 22” lengths, these bits can pass clean through power utility poles and arms in a single pass—no more flipping over the pole, lining up holes, and drilling through from the other side.
Milwaukee manufactured these bits with a shorter flute geometry that’s optimized specifically to pull material out of fiberglass and composite materials quickly and keep you lined up through the cut. The bits also feature laser etching to help you easily identify the size you need.
